Breast micropigmentation is a medical micropigmentation procedure used to restore the areolas and nipples’ appearance, increasing women’s self-esteem and confidence. Women can use it to fulfill their desire to change the tone or shape of their nipples and areolas; or be referred by plastic surgeons in mastectomy, mammoplasty, or mastopexy cases.
First, I draw directly on your skin with an eyeliner pencil. Then we evaluate all the details together to achieve the ideal harmony. The desired color is introduced in a non-invasive way through a dermograph using specific inks and needles. It creates a 3D depth perception, imitating the areolas and nipples’ design in an exclusive and unique way for each person, resulting in a natural appearance.
My focus has always been on maintaining my clients’ skin integrity and health. So, I created The Microblading by Marie Sensitive, a technique that allows me to work on skins as sensitive as the areolar skin. My method consists of gentle dermopigmentation that avoids bleeding and is practically painless.
The Microblading by Marie Sensitive Technique was created by established cosmetic tattoo artist and owner of microblading by marie Enhancement in Darien, FL, microblading by marie. Over the past few decades, the way Marie works with ink and skin has become more and more unique and personalized. Focused on the well-being and health of her clients, her journey birthed the Microblading by Marie Sensitive Technique; permanent makeup applied in a delicate manner, stimulating collagen production and protecting the current and future integrity of your skin–not to mention, superior realistic results.
Marie technique focuses on precisely depositing small amounts of ink in the ideal depth of the papillary dermis (first dermis layer of the skin). This increases the color’s longevity and results in a shorter, more comfortable, and practically bleed-free procedure.
The Microblading by Marie Sensitive Technique, combined with the best brands of ink pigment on the market, organic and inorganic, ensures that the area remains in the healed tone and guarantees a uniform fade of the color over time.
A 3D nipple and areola tattoo is a semi-permanent micropigmentation technique that uses a blend of dark and light pigments to create the illusion of a 3D nipple and/or areola on a reconstructed breast. This technique is also known by various terms, including 3D nipple tattooing, areola restoration tattoo, nipple repigmentation, and areola micropigmentation. It provides a realistic and personalized solution for individuals seeking to restore the appearance of the nipple and areola area.
Using medical-grade mechanical needles, pigment is carefully implanted just below the epidermis, the most superficial layer of the dermis. Thanks to advancements in tattooing technology and methodology, the results are hyperrealistic, mimicking natural skin tones and textures. Over time, only a natural degradation of the pigment occurs, maintaining a natural appearance without harsh fading.
Important Note: in the United States, from the Health Department’s standpoint, all cosmetic tattoo treatments are considered ‘permanent.’
A few months after procedures such as mastectomy, mammoplasty, breast reconstruction, or mastopexy, individuals can choose to restore the appearance of missing nipples and areolas with a 3D tattoo. This transformative procedure helps breast cancer survivors feel more comfortable in their bodies, regain self-confidence, and embrace their sense of sensuality. Whether recreating areolas unilaterally or bilaterally, or camouflaging surgical scars, the tattooing process shifts focus away from what’s perceived as missing or different, offering a renewed sense of wholeness.
Choosing to reconstruct with micropigmentation is deeply personal, yet for those who opt for it, the results can be life-changing. It provides a sense of control, a reconnection to one’s pre-cancer or pre-trauma self, and often a revitalized sense of intimacy with their partners. The emotional impact of a 3D nipple and areola tattoo is profound, often bringing tears of joy and overwhelming gratitude to everyone involved.
Coverage varies for a multitude of unique reasons such as location, depth, size, color, or age, but you can feel comfortable knowing that.
Recreating the perfect skin, nipple, and areola tones require custom blending. First, we draw directly on your skin with an eyeliner pencil, and after we go over all of the details together. The desired color is introduced in a non-invasive way through a dermograph (?? do you mean 1st layer of skin) using specific inks and needles. It creates a 3D depth perception, imitating the areolas and nipples in a truly unique way for each person, resulting in a natural appearance. You can feel comfortable knowing that you are involved in the entire process, observing changes as they materialize.
Upon medical approval, we can also correct imperfections in people who have scars, and even fibrosis.
If needed, to help reduce discomfort, we apply an anesthetic cream before the procedure, which typically lasts from 60 to 90 minutes. Since the Microblading by Marie Technique is very delicate, clients tend to have low amounts of swelling and redness in the area and quality results can be seen shortly after the procedure.
Pro Tip: Take your time in choosing the right artist for you, this type of journey is one that the artist works hand in hand with the client to achieve their desired results. An ethical and caring professional will stay true to your natural features and make the procedure as painless as possible.
On average dermopigmentation lasts from 18 to 24 months. Variables that affect longevity include your skin type, metabolism, and lifestyle/skin habits.
It’s important to note that results are cumulative and at least 2 sessions are necessary to achieve your desired look. Touch-ups can be done after the healing process is complete, which can take from 4 to 6 weeks.
To further extend the longevity of your areola tattoo, we use the best and most advanced products and equipment. We boost the healing process immediately after the procedure with quality products that hydrate the skin. Aftercare instructions must be followed to achieve maximum results. See aftercare instructions here!
Be advised that, with any form of tattooing, there are risks of infection or allergic reactions. Overall, a nipple and areola tattoo is much less invasive than a traditional tattoo and has no downtime. Most side effects of micropigmentation, such as minor swelling immediately after the procedure, are mild. We almost always avoid severe reactions due to the delicate nature and application of the Microblading by Marie Sensitive Technique and our operational and safety standards.
As much as areola and paramedical tattooing is a safe and effective technique, it is not recommended for:
Scars from keloid
Red scars with less than six months
Recently tanned skins
Pregnant and lactating women
People with uncontrolled diabetes Important
Note: If you have any questions we recommend seeing your doctor to make sure that the procedure can be performed safely.
Medical authorization is required to perform any breast, nipple, or areola micropigmentation and dermopigmentation in people with a history of plastic surgery. Also, the area to be treated must be fully healed for at least six months. In cases of cancer survivors, in addition to the requirements mentioned above, the patient must have completed treatment.
At Microblading by Marie Enhancement, we take your health very seriously and go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety.
